Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Biz Hub ("we", "us") is a management platform for local businesses — including takeaways, retail shops, cafés, trades, florists, and off-licence / convenience stores. We provide tools for orders, inventory, finance, staff scheduling, customer relationships, and growth. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. Data we collect
Account data: your name, email address, and role. Business data: the information you enter about your business (name, address, contact details, opening hours) and the records you create within the app — products, menu items, orders, stock, suppliers, customers, transactions, shifts, quotes, and tasks. Usage data: how you interact with the app (feature usage logs) so we can improve the service and enforce subscription limits. Technical data: device type, browser, and basic analytics.
3. Data from connected services
If you connect third-party services such as HubRise (for Just Eat, Deliveroo, or Uber Eats) or Foodhub, we retrieve order data on your behalf to display within your hub. This may include order reference, status, line items, customer name, customer phone, and delivery address. We only access what you authorise and only use it to run your business operations inside Biz Hub. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.
4. How we use your data
To provide and operate the platform; to process subscription payments via Stripe; to sync orders and data from integrations you connect; to send you service notifications and support responses; to analyse and improve our features; and to prevent fraud or abuse. We do not use your business data to train external AI models.
5. Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We process your data under: performance of our contract (providing the service you signed up for); legitimate interests (improving the platform, security, and analytics); and where required, your consent (for optional integrations and marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time.
6. Data sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform — such as Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and the integration services you choose to connect. Each provider is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We never sell your data. We may disclose data where required by law.
7. Data isolation between businesses
Each business account is isolated. Your orders, customers, stock, finance, and other records are visible only to you and the team members you invite. No other Biz Hub business can access your data.
8. Data retention
We keep your business data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your business data and associated records within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, financial records for tax purposes).
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, role-based access controls, per-business data isolation, and regular security reviews. All third-party API credentials you connect (such as card reader tokens, POS tokens, and HubRise tokens) are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before storage. Foodhub partner credentials are held as app-level secrets, never stored in the database or exposed to the client. Payment card details are never stored by us — they are handled directly by Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant provider. All payment amounts are verified server-side to prevent price manipulation.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@mybizhub.online. You can also delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page within the app.
11. International transfers
Your data may be processed by our hosting and service providers outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your data.
12. Children's privacy
Biz Hub is a business tool and is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes within the app or by email. The 'last updated' date below always reflects the current version.
14. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or your data, email info@mybizhub.online. If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, you can also contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
